2 Kids, Adult Injured After Manhole Explosions In Manhattan

NEW YORK CITY — Three people were injured after a manhole exploded in Manhattan on Thursday.

The incident happened on Warren St. in Tribeca around 4 p.m., police said.

Two kids and an adult suffered burns to their face in the incident.

According to the FDNY, as many as three manhole covers exploded in the area.

The two kids and adult were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The cause of the explosion is not known at this time. Additional details have not been released.
