Adams' $300 Rat Ticket Dropped After He Rats Out Neighbor: Reports
The rat-hating mayor testified that an inspector mistook his Brooklyn rowhouse for his rodent-harboring neighbor's, according to reports.
NEW YORK CITY — Mayor Eric Adams' $300 rat ticket got dismissed last week after he ratted out his neighbor for harboring rodents, according to reports.
The self-declared rat hater testified that a city inspector mistook his Brooklyn rowhouse for his neighbor's, the New York Daily News reported.
Security camera footage from Adams' Lafayette Avenue building also showed no one inspecting the property, the report states.

"[Adams] also argued that the video made clear that his property was free of the active rat signs alleged in the summons,” a city officer wrote in the Nov. 2, according to the Daily News.
Adams has been dinged for rats at Bed-Stuy home several times— an irony not lost on New Yorkers who've heard Hizzoner repeatedly rail against rodents.

The latest ticket from September contended Adams' property had continued signs of rat activity, such as droppings and burrows.
But Adams testified those rat signs likely were spotted on his neighbor's property, not his, the Daily News reported.
