• Cops Fatally Shoot Woman After Deadly Stabbing Spree In Times Square (patch.com) — New Yorkers near Times Square saw a deadly confrontation Monday afternoon when police fatally shot a 49-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed two people on West 41st and 42nd streets, killing one. Officers say she ignored repeated commands to drop her knives and then lunged at them before they opened fire; the NYPD is continuing its investigation.
