New art installation features work from local Brooklyn artists, on display in Park Slope & Bed-Stuy

NewYork-Presbyterian is partnering with Art on the Ave to bring gallery-style art installations in vacant storefronts. Local Brooklyn artists from the borough are bringing their art and flair to beautify the neighborhoods while showcasing their pieces for sale.
This year’s installation theme is “Spread Love – It’s the Brooklyn Way.” More than 75% of the artists involved are Brooklyn natives. While ondisplay for the next three months, residents who walk by can scan QR codes to find out more about the artist and their work and how to purchase.
“This show is uplifting,” says Barbara Anderson, founder and executive director of Art on the Ave NYC. “When people stand in front of one of these paintings, it lifts their spirits.”
