An artist and a poet along being an avid lover of the poetic lyrical art form, V. Borchert considers all her artwork to be visual poems.
For the artist nature is very essential, and plays an important role in her life. Hence, V. Borchert is a nature lover - mother nature is her sanctuary and her ultimate solace. V. Borchert is an nature observer. Through contemplating upon nature, the artist reaches her inner peace and attains moments of Zen. Albeit Vian Borchret’s artwork is abstract in nature - the work offers symbolism referencing the status of a mysterious future and how life is such a precious commodity. Borchert’s paintings also showcase a sense of identity of who she is as an artist: her hopes, her aspiration, and her dreams. Consequently, V. Borchert’s work becomes a bridge of reflection and connection to the past, present along with a sense of wonder to what the future holds.

The paintings presented at NYC Phoenix Art gallery are all executed through Vian Borchert's quintessential signature painterly abstract expressionist touch with strong brush strokes and emphasis on environmental and poetic themes such as misty waves and a voyage to the sea.
