Jodi Merendino-Bencivenga, who served as the College of Staten Island’s Director of Dining Services for over 35 years, was a friend to all and a deeply dedicated member of the community lost her beautiful life in August 2024.
In memory of her life and legacy, the College of Staten Island will host the second annual “Jodi Merendino Bencivenga 5K Run/Walk” on May 17, 2026.
All funds raised will support the renaming of the CSI Campus Park Café in Jodi’s honor. After the naming commitment has been fulfilled, additional funds will be used to establish a scholarship in Jodi’s name and to support Humane World for Animals (formerly known as the Humane Society of the U.S.), a cause that was very close to her heart.
Please join us in this day of celebration to honor the spirit of our dear Jodi.
