Sukeban — the cult Japanese women's pro-wrestling league — brings its wildly theatrical spectacle back to New York for one night only at the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom.
Think high-octane wrestling, elaborate designer costumes, surprise musical performances, and a crowd that treats it like a fashion show and a punk concert at once. Following sold-out shows in New York, LA, Miami, London, and Berlin, and millions of TikTok views, this is Sukeban's most ambitious New York production yet.
New York’s title bout will see reigning World Champion Ichigo Sayaka defend her title against longtime rival, Queen of Hearts.
The evening’s five fight card will feature 22 wrestlers from Sukeban’s Tokyo roster, representing five competing stables: the Harajuku Stars, Dangerous Liaisons, Vandals, Cherry Bomb Girls, and Tokyo Toys. The Cherry Bomb Girls will unveil new costumes co-created by Nike and Sukeban.
The event will also feature surprise cameos, performances, and visuals conceptualized by Tokyo creative unit, Margt.
