Eighty years after the first-ever CARE PACKAGE boxes arrived in postwar Europe in May of 1946, humanitarian organization CARE is marking the milestone with a two-day anniversary pop-up on May 20 and 21.
Hosted in a West Chelsea gallery transformed into a life-sized CARE PACKAGE, the immersive experience invites visitors to explore CARE’s history through an interactive multimedia exhibition and see how the CARE PACKAGE has evolved to meet today’s global challenges. Visitors will be invited to help assemble CARE PACKAGE kits as CARE aims to reach two million people by 2030—beginning with kits assembled in New York.
This pop-up event will be open on May 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and May 21 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
