As America marks its 250th anniversary, music offers a uniquely powerful way to examine the country’s history. Featuring prominent artists and Juilliard student and alumni performers, this special collaboration between The Atlantic and Juilliard centers on one central theme: There is no single “American sound.” American music is the result of traditions, cultures, and regions interacting and influencing each other over time. What new voices and stories will shape the music still to come?
Your ticket also includes a pre-event cocktail reception beginning at 5:30 pm, with culinary offerings by acclaimed chef Marcus Samuelsson.
This event is part of the Juilliard Fall Festival.
Juilliard's Creative Enterprise programming, including the Creative Associates program, is generously supported by Jody and John Arnhold and the Arnhold Foundation.
