Early Voters Cast 315K Ballots, And Counting, In NYC
Monday's early voting tally — 120,808 — surpassed the totals from each day over the weekend, according to city Board of Elections numbers.

NEW YORK CITY — Long lines and rain didn’t stop New Yorkers from casting their ballots in the three days since early voting started.
In fact, the number of early votes cast has only increased since Saturday, according to New York City Board of Elections tallies.
Drizzly Monday’s tally of 120,808 outpaced both days this weekend, when voters faced hours-long waits in lines.

The clear enthusiasm for early voting doesn’t mean the effort has gone off without a hitch. Mayor Bill de Blasio, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez all criticized Board of Elections officials for long lines.
De Blasio and Cuomo both mused about disbanding the board altogether, while Ocasio-Cortez likened the wait to voter suppression.
But it appeared most of the waits subsided Monday. Advocates still recommend that voters have a plan for when and how to plan.
