From Cherokee Co. Historical Society: The Cherokee County Historical Society is pleased to announce the release of the new Canton Historic Downtown Walking Tour App and Brochure. The free app is now available for iPhone and Android. It features historic photos, an easily navigable map, an available audio guide for each site and a chance to share your own photos. The walking tour brochure is also available for those that would prefer a paper version or a larger map.
“We were excited to partner with the City of Canton and Canton Tourism to update our old brochure and offer a new way for visitors and residents to experience our history and beautiful downtown,” stated Meghan Quinlan, program manager for the Cherokee County Historical Society. “If you have guests in for the holidays, take them to Downtown Canton for a little history and exercise!”
The brochure is available at Canton City Hall at 151 Elizabeth Street, Canton 30114 and at the Cherokee County History Museum, 100 North Street, Canton 30114.
