LeBron James, Teammates, Ride NYC Subway Before Game With Knicks
The Cleveland Cavaliers rode the New York City subway before a Monday night match up with the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

NEW YORK, NY — NBA star LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates rode the New York City subway Monday before a nighttime game against the hometown Knicks.
James uploaded a video of the Cavs' subway adventure after the team's Monday morning shootaround practice.
"On our way back from shootaround," James says in the video's opening seconds. "Decided to take a different transportation this time."

Cavaliers guard Kyle Korver then explains that the team was faced with either a six-minute subway ride or a 45-minute bus ride back to the hotel, so they decided to venture underground. Later in the video, James gives shout outs to teammates Channing Frye — a former top draft pick of the New York Knicks — and Dwyane Wade. Frye, at 6-foot-11, appears to barely fit in the crowded subway car.
Not all New Yorkers were pleased to see their Monday morning commutes interrupted by the four-time NBA champion, who many argue has passed Michael Jordan as the greatest to ever play basketball. A man sitting on the train next to James tries to block his camera with his hand and asks "can you not?"

The man who shunned James talked with USA Today about his now-viral moment. Long story short, he didn't recognize the basketball star and didn't want to be filmed.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks will tip off in Madison Square Garden at 7:30 p.m. The defending Eastern Conference Champions have struggled during the new NBA season and enter the garden with a record of six wins and seven losses. The Knicks claim a record of seven wins and five losses.
Both teams last faced off on Oct. 29 in Cleveland. The Knicks won the game by a score of 114 to 95.
The MTA thanked James for riding the subway, but stayed true to the hometown Knicks.
"Thanks so much for taking the subway Lebron, but the King of this town is [Kristaps Porzingis] and we’re riding with the Knicks tonight," the MTA tweeted at James.
