NYC Subway Delays Over After 'Nightmare' Monday Morning Commute
The 1/2/3, B/D/F/M, A/C/E and N/Q/R/W lines were all experiencing delays during Monday morning's commute.

Subway service in New York City was back to normal and expected to be OK for the evening commute after a fatality and signal problems caused major delays across the city Monday morning.
Around 8:45 a.m., a man was struck and killed by a train at the 42 St.-Port Authority station on Eighth Avenue. Trains along the 1/2/3, A/C/E and B/D/F/M lines were all delayed significantly as a result.
Then, N/Q/R/W trains were running with delays because of signal problems south of Queens.

Passengers reported being stuck on trains for 20 and 40 minutes at a time without moving. One called it a "nightmare" morning commute.
The MTA was still reporting some delays on N/Q/R/W trains, but otherwise all other lines that were affected Monday morning were back to "good service."
