Man Arrested After Human Remains Found In NYC Wildlife Sanctuary

According to police, the remains found on March 5 were determined to have belonged to a 34-year-old woman.

NEW YORK CITY — A suspect has been arrested in connection with the humans remains found inside Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge last week.

Rupchand Simboo, 75, was taken into custody Wednesday morning and has been charged with murder, obstructing governmental administration and tampering with physical evidence.

According to police, the remains found on March 5 were determined to have belonged to 34-year-old Salisha Ali, whose dismembered corpse was found in a garbage bag near JFK Airport back in September.
