Man Arrested For Stabbing Subway Rider In NYC Station: NYPD
A 45-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the back two months ago.
NEW YORK CITY — A man has been arrested for stabbing a subway rider on a Manhattan subway platform two months ago, police said on Wednesday.
Christopher Betancourt, 25, was taken into custody on Tuesday and has been charged with assault for stabbing a 45-year-old man inside Union Square station on Dec. 10.
According to police, the victim and Betancourt got into an argument on a Manhattan bound train that spilled onto the platform.

The 45-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the back. Betancourt fled the scene after the stabbing.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

Betancourt is expected to be arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court. Defense attorney information for Betancourt was not readily available.
