Man Charged After Stabbing Teen On NYC Subway Train, Police Say

The incident happened on an L train at the First Avenue and East 14th Street Station in the East Village.

NEW YORK CITY — A 35-year-old man has been charged with stabbing a teenager on a New York City subway train on, police said Friday.

Kamil Hamoudi has been charged with felony second-degree assault in connection with the incident.

The New York Post first reported on the charges.

The incident happened on an L train at the First Avenue and East 14th Street Station in the East Village around 8:10 a.m.

A 19-year-old was stabbed in the leg. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment, police said.

The stabbing may have stemmed from a dispute between the victim and the suspect, according to police.

Hamoudi was arraigned in court on Friday. Defense attorney for the 35-year-old was not readily available.

An investigation remains ongoing.
