Man Killed In Shooting Outside NYC Deli, Suspect Still At Large

What led up to the shooting is not known at this time.

NEW YORK CITY — A man was killed and another was injured in a shooting at a deli in the East Village over the weekend, police said.

The incident happened outside a deli near East 13 Street and Avenue B around 11:38 p.m. on Sunday.

Police found two 28-year-old men with gunshot wounds to the chest. Both were taken to Bellevue Hospital where Abdul Saleh was later pronounced dead.

The other 28-year-old is expected to survive.

What led up to the shooting is not known at this time. Police have not released a description of a possible shooter yet.
