Man Shot To Death On NYC Street, Suspect Still At Large

What led up to the shooting is not known at this time.

QUEENS, NY — A 36-year-old man was shot to death on a Queens street Friday night, police said Saturday.

The incident happened near 97-36 55 Avenue in Flushing around 7:50 p.m.

Police found 36-year-old Jairo Javier Vinces-Cobena with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was initially taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

No arrests have been made. What led up to the shooting is not known at this time.
