Man Slashed Outside NYC Rooftop Bar In Random Attack, Police Say

NEW YORK CITY — Police are looking for a man who slashed a stranger on a Manhattan street on Tuesday.

The incident happened in front of 230 5th Avenue around 9:10 p.m.

A 28-year-old man was standing on the street when he was approached by the suspect who took out a sharp object and slashed him in the right thigh, police said.

The suspect fled the scene on the foot.

The 28-year-old took himself to NYU Langone Tisch Hospital for treatment where he was listed in stable condition.

The NYPD released photos of the suspect on Thursday. He was last seen wearing a white North Face jacket, black pants and multicolored sneakers.

No arrests have been made.
