Man Stabbed On NYC Street In Unprovoked Attack, Police Say

Police have not released a description of the suspect yet.

NEW YORK CITY — Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man in an unprovoked attack in Midtown Thursday night.

The incident happened near West 59th Street and 10th Avenue around 7:10 p.m.

According to police, a 28-year-old man was walking on the street when the suspect came up from behind and stabbed him in the back with a sharp object.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai West Hospital for treatment.

The suspect fled the scene after the attack and was last seen on 10th Avenue.
