Man Stabbed On NYC Subway Train During Attempted Robbery

Police have not released a description of a possible suspect yet.

NEW YORK CITY — A man was stabbed on a board a subway train in Lower Manhattan Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The incident happened on a 4 train near the Wall Street station around 12:30 p.m.

A 27-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach by the suspect who initially tried to rob the victim, police said.

The suspect fled the scene after the stabbing.

The injured man was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment. He is expected to survive.
