Moped Rider Clips Cop, Rides Off In Queens: NYPD
An NYPD officer's leg got cut by a reckless moped rider who refused to stop driving, police said.

QUEENS, NY — A moped-riding miscreant clipped and injured an NYPD cop before scooting off in Queens, police said.
Police released photos Wednesday from the hit-and-scoot in North Corona in hopes that New Yorkers will recognize the man on the moped.
🚨WANTED for ASSAULT: On 12/8 at 2:20PM, near Junction Blvd & 37th Ave, an NYPD officer was attempting to stop this individual operating a 2-wheeled vehicle when the individual refused to stop & struck the officer, causing injury.

The incident unfolded Dec. 8 when a uniformed NYPD officer tried to stop a man recklessly driving a moped south down Junction Boulevard toward 37th Avenue, authorities said.

The man refused to stop and struck the cop with the moped, which cut the officer's leg, police said.
The moped driver then sped off down 37th Avenue before medics took the officer to a local hospital for trauma to his leg, officials said.
