NYC Subway Changes For Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Trains and buses will operate on a weekend schedule and more commuter trains will run.

NEW YORK, NY — The Metropolitan Transit Authority will institute service changes for city subways and buses, as well as commuter trains to the suburbs, to coincide with the celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 15.
Here's how your trip may be disrupted (or aided) if you're planning on traveling Monday.

New York City subways and buses will run on a weekend schedule Monday, the MTA announced. Subway commuters are advised to allow more travel time for their trips.
Several limited stop bus routes on Staten Island and Qeens will not run on Monday. Those lines include: S81, S84, S86, S90, S91, S92, S94, S96, S98 Q4, Q6, Q25 and Q65 will not run

Long Island Rail Road:
The MTA will add 32 extra trains on the Babylon, Montauk, Port Jefferson, Port Washington and Ronkonkoma routes in order to help people visit friends and family in the suburbs. Off=peak fares apply throughout the entire day.
Metro North Railroad:
The MTA is adding 35 extra trains on Metro North lines on Monday. Of those 35, 14 extra trains will run on the Harlem Line, including one additional Wassaic connection, 3 extra trains will run on the Hudson Line, and 15 extra trains will run on the New Haven Line offering branch connections. Three extra trains will run on the Port Jervis Line for West of Hudson passengers.
