NYC Weather: Spring-Like Temps Finally Arrive

New Yorkers will see highs in the 50s by the end of the week, forecasters predict.

NEW YORK, NY — Winter isn't over yet for New Yorkers, despite last week's unseasonably warm temperatures. The start of the week will see highs in the 40s and lows in the 30s, forecasters say.

The National Weather Service predicts a sunny Tuesday with a high near 48, which will dip to 35 on Tuesday night.

Forecasters predict temperatures to slowly climb to the 50s by the end of the week.

  • Today: Sunny, with a high near 48. Wind chill values between 25 and 35 early. North wind around 8 mph.
  • Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 35. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 53. Light west wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
  • Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40.
  • Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53.
  • Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 39.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 51.
  • Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34.
  • Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 49.
  • Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 37.
  • Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 59.
