Songstress Peggy Sarlin took over the stage in New York City once again with her gorgeously crafted music. Sarlin who is no stranger to the world of music, is on the upswing of her new single release, "Gatesville " which is out now. On Saturday, November 2 at the Triad Theater in Manhattan, I had the chance to catch the notable musician live for a charming show that I do indeed urge you to check out in the near future. On stage Peggy's voice comes to life even more with every note and tone that floats like a heavenly cloud over the instrumentation.
Her charismatic vocals, personal stage presence and glorious tones make you feel at home within her songs. With her Smokin' Hot Band in tow, Sarlin is a singer-songwriter that packs a big Blues-infused sound. That evening Sarlin was accompanied by her Smokin’ Hot Band of "masterful New York musicians:" Jeff Franzel, keyboards; Askold Buk, guitar; Steve Williams, drums; Paul Frazier, bass.
To add to her ambitious world, Peggy has written for Bette Midler, Patti LuPone, and Disney, and enjoyed success as a scriptwriter for some of the finest shows on Disney, Nickelodeon, and PBS. She’s also a best-selling author/broadcast journalist on brain health, whose most recent docuseries, Regain Your Brain, garnered over three million online views.
Her live show brings her recordings to life even more, as she takes center stage from start to finish. Each note lingers, each vocal entices, and together the show had swept me off of my feet. I can't wait to hear more!
