Rave Under NYC Bridge Draws Coronavirus Crowd, Criticism

"The Governor's gonna love this s---," wrote a commenter about a pandemic party scene underneath the Kosciuszko Bridge on Saturday.

NEW YORK CITY — Partiers threw coronavirus caution to the wind and packed underneath the Kosciuszko Bridge for an impromptu wave.

Videos from the Saturday party spread quickly online and prompted several news reports. The "covidiots" — as the revelers were dubbed by the New York Post — largely wore masks but were not socially distant, according to Guest of a Guest.

The packed scene recalled a much-criticized recent "Chainsmokers" concert in the Hamptons that — like other pandemic parties — drew Gov. Andrew Cuomo's ire.
