Oats
For men over the age of 45, there is a huge increased risk of heart disease, which makes it imperative to include cholesterol-lowering foods into your diet. A delicious food that is perfect for lowering cholesterol is oats. Because oats are rich in a type of soluble fiber called beta glucan, eating at least 3 grams of it every day reduces LDL cholesterol levels by 5 to 10 percent. Oats also makes it easier to incorporate other healthy foods by sprinkling nuts or fruits on top to make for a delicious meal.
Apples
