Teen Stabbed On NYC Subway Train: Police

No charges have been filed as of Thursday night.

NEW YORK CITY — A 19-year-old was stabbed on a New York City subway train Thursday morning, police said.

The incident happened on an uptown L train at the First Avenue and East 14th Street Station in the East Village around 8:10 a.m.

The 19-year-old was stabbed in the leg. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he is in stable condition, police said.

The stabbing may have stemmed from a dispute between the victim and another individual

A person of interest was taken into custody after the incident. No charges have been filed as of Thursday night.
