NEW YORK, NY— There are plenty of places to grab a slice, but people who truly appreciate pizza may want to check out two pizzerias in New York City that recently earned some national bragging rights.

#1 Una Pizza Napoletana: 175 Orchard St., New York

Una Pizza Napoletana claimed the top spot on the 50 Top Pizza USA 2026 rankings, reaffirming its status as one of the most acclaimed pizzerias in America. Led by master pizzaiolo Anthony Mangieri, the Lower East Side restaurant has earned international recognition for its minimalist approach, naturally fermented dough and meticulously sourced ingredients.
The pizzeria regularly draws long lines from locals and tourists eager to try what many consider the gold standard of Neapolitan pizza in the United States. Its focus on simplicity and craftsmanship has made it a fixture atop national and international pizza rankings.

Fatema Jerin described her visit as "one of the best pizza experiences" she has had in her Google review.
"The crust was perfectly charred and airy, with that authentic wood-fired flavor that's hard to find," she wrote. "Every ingredient tasted fresh and balanced, especially the cheese and sauce."
#6 Don Antonio: 309 W. 50th St., New York
Don Antonio ranked No. 6 nationally, continuing its reputation as one of New York City's premier destinations for authentic Neapolitan pizza. Located in Midtown Manhattan, the restaurant is known for importing ingredients from Italy and producing pizzas that adhere closely to traditional standards recognized by Naples-based pizza organizations.
The restaurant's menu balances classic offerings with creative variations, helping it attract both traditionalists and diners seeking something new.
"Having a pizza from a world champion pizza maker is a unique experience," Jose Bronet wrote on Google. "We enjoyed every bite of every pie we tried."
#8 Ribalta: 48 E. 12th St., New York
Ribalta secured the No. 8 position on the national list, earning recognition for bringing authentic Neapolitan pizza to Greenwich Village. The restaurant has become a favorite gathering place for Italian expats, soccer fans and pizza enthusiasts drawn to its wood-fired oven and traditional recipes.
Inspectors praised Ribalta's commitment to classic techniques, while its lively atmosphere has helped establish it as one of Manhattan's most respected pizza destinations.
Diners also point to the restaurant's ability to accommodate a variety of dietary preferences without sacrificing quality.
"The gluten free pizza was so good I was skeptical it was actually gluten free," Dave Capra wrote on Google. "Will definitely come back."
#13 Stretch Pizza: 331 Park Ave. S., New York
Stretch Pizza landed at No. 13 in the nation. The restaurant, created by acclaimed pizza maker Wylie Dufresne, blends New York and Neapolitan influences while emphasizing carefully developed dough and premium ingredients.
Its modern approach and inventive menu have quickly made it one of the city's most talked-about pizza spots.
#14 Audace: 365 Park Ave S., New York
Audace ranked No. 14 nationally, highlighting the growing strength of downtown Manhattan's pizza scene. The restaurant focuses on wood-fired pizzas prepared with traditional Italian techniques and high-quality imported ingredients.

#15 Pizza Secret: 72 Henry St., New York
Pizza Secret earned the No. 15 spot on the 2026 rankings. The Lower Manhattan pizzeria has built a devoted following through a combination of classic Neapolitan methods and a menu that showcases seasonal ingredients and creative flavor combinations.

#17 Ops: 346 Himrod St., Brooklyn
Bushwick favorite Ops came in at No. 17 nationally. Known for its naturally leavened dough, wood-fired pizzas and carefully curated wine program, Ops has become one of Brooklyn's most celebrated pizzerias.
The restaurant's rustic atmosphere and emphasis on fermentation have helped distinguish it in a crowded New York pizza market.
#21 Kesté: 77 Fulton Street, New York
Kesté ranked No. 21 on the national list. Founded by renowned pizzaiolo Roberto Caporuscio, the Greenwich Village institution has long been regarded as one of the pioneers of authentic Neapolitan pizza in New York City.
Kesté opened its Fulton Street location as a second, larger location, while the original Bleecker Street spot continued operating.
The Bleecker Street location at 271 Bleecker Street ultimately closed after more than 11 years in business, a victim of the COVID-19 pandemic. It had permanently closed by October 2021.
The restaurant continues to attract diners seeking traditional recipes, imported ingredients and expertly crafted pies.
#32 Salsa Pizzeria: 104 E. 28th St., New York
Salsa Pizzeria secured the No. 32 ranking, earning national recognition for its traditional approach and commitment to quality ingredients. The Manhattan pizzeria has quietly built a reputation among pizza enthusiasts for consistency and attention to detail.

#36 Andrew Bellucci's Pizzeria: 37-08 30th Ave., Astoria
Andrew Bellucci's Pizzeria ranked No. 36 nationally. The Astoria favorite has developed a loyal following thanks to its blend of New York-style and artisan pizza traditions.
Named for the late pizza maker Andrew Bellucci, the restaurant has earned praise for its crisp crusts, balanced flavors and dedication to preserving Bellucci's pizza-making legacy.
#39 Pasquale Jones: 187 Mulberry St., New York
Pasquale Jones rounded out New York City's entries at No. 39. The Nolita restaurant is known for its wood-fired pizzas, seasonal menu and stylish dining room.

Pizzeria Sei in Los Angeles and Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco tied at No. 2, followed by Razza in Jersey City, New Jersey, at No. 3 and Truly Pizza in Dana Point, California, at No. 4.
