Woman Fatally Struck By DOT Dump Truck Identified

The woman was crossing the street when she was struck by the dump truck.

NEW YORK CITY — A woman struck and killed by a New York City Department of Transportation dump truck on Tuesday has been identified, police said Wednesday.

Nilufar Komilova, 31, was fatally struck on Metropolitan Avenue and Lefferts Boulevard in Queens.

Komilova was crossing the street at Lefferts Blvd. when she was struck by the dump truck who was making a right turn onto the street, police said.

The 31-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver remained at the scene. No charges have been filed.
