Woman Found Dead Inside NYC Apartment: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — Police are investigating the death of a 50-year-old woman found dead inside her New York City apartment over the weekend.

Officers were called to an apartment at 38 Featherbed Lane in the Bronx on Saturday to perform a wellness check.

Inside the third-floor apartment, police found Susan Longton, 50, unconscious and unresponsive with head and body trauma.

Longton was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The medical examiner’s office will determine the official cause of death. Police have not deemed the incident a homicide as of Monday evening.

An investigation remains ongoing.
