• Parolee arrested after Newark standoff, crash into home: Everything we know now (fingerlakes1.com) — A major police response in Newark ended safely after a vehicle fleeing a traffic stop crashed into a Hoffman Street home and the driver barricaded himself in the basement for several hours. Local police, Wayne County deputies, state police, and SWAT surrounded the scene before the suspect surrendered; two others who fled are identified and expected to be arrested.
