127-MPH Chase Through Clarkstown Leads to Charges for Couple
Police allege the Spring Valley residents were intoxicated and belligerent.

State police chased a 2016 Audi for 3 miles at 127 MPH before stopping it at about 3:14 a.m. Dec. 20 in Clarkstown.
The incident was in a posted 55 mph zone, police said.
The driver of the Audi was identified as Jimmy Pierre, 26, of Spring Valley, NY.

Police said Pierre and his passenger, Vanessa Barreto, 26, of Spring Valley, were hostile, belligerent, and visibly intoxicated. While being arrested Pierre was found to be in possession of about 5 grams of marijuana. Both were transported and processed at SP Tarrytown.
Pierre refused to submit to a breath test to determine the alcohol content in his system. He was charged with:

- Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor
- Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree; a Class A Misdemeanor
- Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer; a Class A Misdemeanor
- Disorderly Conduct; a Violation
- Unlawful Possession of Marijuana; a Violation
- Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Barreto was charged with Disorderly Conduct and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Clarkstown Court on Jan. 13.
Pierre was arraigned before the Town of Clarkstown Court and sent to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or bond.
