18th Annual Philanthropy Day Breakfast Celebrates the Spirit of Giving on November 9th

Rockland County, NY – Rockland Development Council will hold its 18th annual Philanthropy Day Breakfast on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza, Suffern, NY. A highlight of the program will be a keynote presentation by Bob Baird, editor and columnist at The Journal News, about his founding of Touching Bases Baseball, a non-profit agency that provides over 200 adults with special needs opportunities to play baseball.

“As the “voice” of professional non-profit development in Rockland County, Rockland Development Council is honored to celebrate giving in Rockland at the Philanthropy Day Breakfast, the largest annual gathering of non-profit agencies and philanthropists in the County,” said Judith Perrin, President of RDC.

Rockland Development Council will recognize the following with 2017 Philanthropy Day Awards: Outstanding Philanthropist to Mark Jacobs, K&M Newspaper, Outstanding Non-Profit Professional to Carmine G. Marchionda, Chief Executive Officer, The Arc Rockland, Outstanding Volunteer to Robyn Herbst and Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy to Student Activists Ending Dating Abuse (SAEDA), a program of Center for Safety & Change.
