22 Died Of COVID-19 Last Week In The Hudson Valley

As of Sunday, the positivity rate in the region was 3.64 percent.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — In the past week, 217 New Yorkers have died of COVID-19, among them 22 in the Hudson Valley.

According to data released by state officials:

  • Saturday: 29 statewide, including 2 in Dutchess County and 1 in Westchester
  • Friday: 34, including 1 in Dutchess, 1 in Orange, 1 in Rockland and 1 in Westchester
  • Thursday: 43, including 1 in Dutchess and 2 in Westchester
  • Wednesday: 19, including 1 in Dutchess
  • Tuesday: 31, including 1 in Orange and 1 in Ulster
  • Monday: 35, including 1 in Orange, 1 in Rockland and 2 in Westchester
  • Sunday: 26, including 1 in Dutchess, 1 in Orange, 2 in Ulster and 1 in Westchester

The coronavirus positivity rate in the region was 3.64 percent as of Sunday.

Like all of New York, the Hudson Valley is ranked as having a high rate of community transmission by the Centers for Disease Control.

According to state data, 71.4 percent of New Yorkers age 18 and up have completed vaccination against COVID-19.
