28 Businesses Honored for Hiring People with Disabilities as part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month
An awards ceremony and breakfast was hosted by the Rockland Employment Network and the County.

The Rockland Employment Network and the County of Rockland honored 28 local businesses for their commitment to hiring people with disabilities during its awards ceremony and breakfast Thursday.
The event took place at The Chalet on the grounds of Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, NY.
The Awards Ceremony was held to mark National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Among those to receive honors were Walgreens in Stony Point, NY and HMS Host Corporation of Montvale, New Jersey. The two companies were nominated by ARC of Rockland.
“Both businesses have shown strong commitments to the community,” said Kathy Canter, ARC Senior Director of Job Placement Services. “The employers being highlighted during the Awards Ceremony recognize individual strengths. They have consistently shown a desire to provide employment opportunities to people of all abilities.”
