3 Rockland Men Accused Of Murdering High-School Senior
The 17-year-old was found dying in a parking lot on West Eckerson Road.
ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — A Rockland County Grand Jury indicted three Haverstraw men yesterday on murder and weapons charges stemming from the July 8 shooting death of a teen in Spring Valley.
Anthony Mitchell, 23, Ahmad Williams, 21, and Brian Thomas, 20, all face six felony counts, including murder, attempted murder, and criminal possession of a weapon.
It was 2:30 a.m. July 8 when Spring Valley police were called to the parking lot of the Meadow Lane apartments at 150 West Eckerson Road for a report of a male who had been shot.

They and the emergency medical responders tried to keep him alive, but he died at Good Samaritan Hospital.
His name: Treynahel Cineus, a 17-year-old Spring Valley resident who was heading into his senior year at Ramapo High School.

"The senseless killing of a high school student with such a bright future ahead of him has left our community shocked and in anger," said District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II. "As a father, no parent should ever have to bury their own child."

Walsh thanked the Spring Valley Police Department, Haverstraw Police Department, and the other agencies involved for their investigative work.
After the indictments were handed down, all three men were sent to Rockland County Jail. They will return to court on Aug. 17 before the Hon. Judge Kevin Russo.
The case is being prosecuted by Executive Assistant District Attorney Nabeela McLeod
and Senior Assistant District Attorney Matthew Martinez.
