9 Clarkstown Students Named Merit Finalists

Congratulations to the Clarkstown students who achieved finalist status in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

The academic competition is open each year to high school students who take the PSAT.

This, the 60th annual National Merit Scholarship Program, named 16,000 Semifinalists. Nationwide, about 90 percent of those fulfilled requirements to go on to Finalist level, where they have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth about $33 million that will be offered this spring. More than half of all Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship.
