92 Graduate from Rockland's TeenWorks Program
Ed Day congratulated the graduates of TeenWorks, a program created and facilitated by the Rockland County Youth Bureau.

NEW CITY, NY - From the Rockland County Youth Bureau: Rockland County Executive Ed Day congratulated 92 young people who completed this summer's TeenWorks program.
"TeenWorks is more than just a summer job," he told the young people at a graduation ceremony held Thursday at Rockland Community College. "It's a way to help your community become a better place."
Dr. Michael Anthony Baston, president of RCC, also spoke at the graduation ceremony and congratulated the participants.

The TeenWorks program is run by the Rockland County Youth Bureau.
It is designed to provide eligible youth with a meaningful work experience. The 7-week program offers pre-employment training and work experience to teens and young adults between the ages of 14 and 21. Young people who successfully complete the program can get help with job placement.

This summer's participants had training and work experiences with Rockland BOCES, the Center for Safety and Change, the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Multi-purpose Center and in numerous county departments.
"The work you did this summer as you visited different sites in Rockland County will leave an impact long after you go back to school in a couple of weeks," the County Executive said.
He thanked Marianne McCarney-Haesche, Jackie Iaria and Kim Gizzi and all the members of the TeenWorks staff as well as the participating organizations for their hard work and for being both teachers and mentors.
The next TeenWorks session will begin in the spring.
