After 2 Unsuccessful Burglaries, Pomona Man Sentenced to 12 Years to Life
He broke into two houses in Airmont, the DA said.

Jude Bonneau, 50, of 45 Parkway Trailer Court, Pomona was sentenced today, before New York State Supreme Court Justice William A. Kelly to a state prison term of 12 years to life after pleading guilty to Attempted Burglary in the 2nd degree.
On July 14, 2014 at 8 p.m., a man later identified as Bonneau broke into a home on New County Road in Airmont, said District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe. An alert homeowner managed to get the license plate number of the car driven by the burglar as he drove away.
Shortly thereafter, Zugibe said, Bonneau broke into another home just a few blocks away on Laura Drive.

First he knocked on the door; and getting no response, apparently believed the home was empty. When he broke in through a downstairs window he was confronted by the homeowner who was home but had not answered the door.
The would-be burglar fled in the same car that had been spotted earlier, Zugibe said.
