Applications Open for Leadership Rockland Class of 2019
Thursday is Leadership Rockland Day, marking the beginning of the application period for the Class of 2019.

NEW CITY, NY — Thursday marks the third annual Leadership Rockland Day and the beginning of the application period for the Class of 2019. The program will run from September 2018 through June 2019.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 1, 2018.
The Class of 2019 will be the 29th in the program's history.

“The Leadership Rockland program is perfect for anyone who truly cares about Rockland County and wants to get a deeper understanding of how the various components within the county operate," said Dan Weisberg, Chair of Leadership Rockland, in an announcement about the application process. "No matter what your vocation may be or your knowledge of the many aspects of the county, there are undoubtedly areas where you may never have traveled or have had the opportunity to peek inside. We open the door for you to get that glimpse inside and to gain a higher level of understanding, which you can then utilize to make Rockland a better place to live and work for yourself, your family and your community.”
For the first time, there will be tuition discounts available to accepted class members. Prospective class members who complete their application package by March 1 will receive a tuition discount if accepted into the program.

Leadership Rockland started in 1990 and more than 600 participants have since graduated from the program. They come from a wide variety of backgrounds. For example, the Class of 2018 included:
