Boy Scouts Host Successful Community STEM Fair
The 2nd Annual Rockland Community STEM Fair on Saturday April 21, 2018 was a great success.
The 2nd Annual Rockland Community STEM Fair on Saturday April 21, 2018 was a great success. The fair was held at North Rockland High School in Thiells and hosted by the Rockland District, Hudson Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
The free event introduced and reinforced the excitement of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to all school age children through games, exhibits and fun presentations. The fun-filled day included exhibits from Suez, Orange & Rockland Utilities, Rockland Community College, St. Thomas Aquinas College, Cornell Cooperative Extension Rockland, Marine Solutions, the Boys Scouts and many more. From learning about conservation and cyber-security to robotics and making slime, everyone had a wonderful day!
