Chaos in the Clarkstown Board of Appeals (ZBA)

Why doesn't the Hoehmann administration allow the Clarkstown ZBA to publish proposed resolutions on the Town website?

Looking for the reasons why the Town Board is proposing a local law? No problem. Simply access the information on the Town Clerk's webpage. Looking for the reasons why the Clarkstown ZBA is deciding an appeal? Good luck in finding them, since the Hoehmann administration has refused to allow the posting of proposed resolutions on the same website. Of course such failure smacks of a lack of transparency and is in violation of NYS laws requiring open access to government decision making. Nevertheless, and despite repeated entreaties to the administration, the effect so far has been a refusal to act and stone silence. I guess it's true that local politics takes its lead from national politics. In both instances today, due to the deliberate denial of access to facts, the average citizen is foreclosed from meaningful participation in her government. It cannot be allowed to continue.
