NEW CITY, NY — Clarkstown police found a dump truck on the lawn of a New City home Thursday afternoon.
At 1:36 p.m. the Clarkstown Police Department responded to the intersection of Route 304 and Virginia Street in New City for a reported overturned vehicle. Responding patrol units observed a 1997 Freightliner dump truck on the lawn of 490 Route 304 and the trailer that it was pulling overturned across Route 304. The overturned trailer caused the complete closure of the two northbound lanes of Route 304. The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was a 44-year-old West Nyack resident who was not injured.
Rockland Auto responded to the scene to tow the vehicle and clean the road of debris. The road had two lanes closed for roughly three hours.
