Clarkstown Cops Begin Young Driver Outreach
In light of the Minisink High School senior's death in a one-car crash Monday, this is a timely message.

In partnership with the NYS Governor's Traffic Safety Committee, the Clarkstown Police Department will participate in a Statewide Traffic Enforcement Initiative and assigning patrols to focus on a different traffic safety threat each day of the week in the vicinity of our high schools.
In light of the death Monday of a Minisink High School senior, whom police believe lost control of the car he was driving, the program takes on renewed urgency.
Yesterday was about speeding in school zones. Here's the schedule for the rest of the week:
- Tuesday – Seatbelts and Child Restraints;
- Wednesday – Cell Phone Use and Texting;
- Thursday – Operation Safe Stop
- Friday – Underage Drinking and Impaired Driving
