Clarkstown Fire Departments Hold Open Houses this Weekend

Visit the firehouse, try on gear, learn about what it takes to help your community as a volunteer.

Clarkstown’s volunteer fire departments are holding Open Houses this weekend for residents.

It's part of the sixth annual RecruitNY statewide initiative.

As part of RecruitNY, on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24, five Clarkstown fire departments will join volunteer fire departments all across the state at their respective firehouses for a unified recruitment drive. Not only will RecruitNY be an opportunity to highlight the rewards and responsibilities that come with being a volunteer firefighter, it will also raise public awareness about the need for volunteers.
