The Nanuet Girls tennis team went on the road to Clarkstown North Tuesday in a match that Clarkstown North Coach Alan Schwartz called the "toughest we've had so far this season."
There are seven total matches played when high school tennis teams clash. Four doubles matches and three singles matches. The first team with four wins walks away with the victory.
After the first four matches, Clarkstown North was leading Nanuet, 3 – 1. Two of the final singles matches went into the third set. It was Jenny Nutovits putting away Anna Gremli, 6 -2, in the third set that sealed the victory for Clarkstown North.

Despite her team's loss going official during her match, Nanuet's Alex Fine put up a great fight against North's Ali Chaitin in a match that went this distance. The win was locked up for North and the sun was setting but that didn't stop Fine from fighting through the third set and into a tie-breaker.
"Today we played good, not great. We did what we had to do, played competitively and today we came out on top" said Coach Schwartz.
