Clarkstown School Board to Set Tax Rate Tonight

The Board of Education meets at 8 p.m.

The Clarkstown Board of Education has its August meeting tonight.

The trustees are expected to set the tax rate for 2014-15.

The meeting starts at 8 p.m. — however, the board may meet before that in executive session to discuss personnel matters.

The meeting will include a moment of reflection for several people dear to the district who have died: Carol Deer, former Woodglen Elementary School teacher, Mary Terribile, former Laurel Plains crossing guard, Charles Smith, former Clarkstown High School South graduate, Yves Knafou, former Clarkstown High School South teacher, Gerald Hastings. former Clarkstown High School South graduate, and Muriel Hittman, former Bardonia Elementary School teacher.

Also on the agenda, the board will be voting on a long list of personnel items.
