NJ Woman Charged for Leaving Dog in Hot Car After Rockland Jail Staff Warning

Jail staff told her not to when she visited. Then sheriff's deputies saw the dog in the car at a nearby supermarket.

A New Jersey woman told she couldn't bring her dog into the Rockland County Jail -- and shouldn't leave it in the car because it's too hot -- was arrested after Sheriff's Deputies later saw the dog closed in her car in the New City ShopRite parking lot.

The dog was taken to High-Tor animal shelter.
