Early Getaway and Memorial Day Transit For Rockland County

To help you plan your weekend, the Rockland County Department of Public Transportation has
announced early getaway commuter service for Friday and transit schedules for Memorial Day – Monday.

Friday, May 25th- Early Getaway Commuter Service:

• Transport of Rockland (TOR), TAPPAN ZEExpress (TZx) and TRIPS paratransit buses will operate regular weekday service. TZx bus departures from Tarrytown station will be slightly adjusted to connect with the early getaway train arriving at 3:47 pm. Go to www.rocklandbus.com for details.
• Coach USA Express Shortline bus service from the Exit 14 Park & Ride lot and Smith Street lot will operate modified morning and evening service. Additional early getaway buses will be added at 2:02 and 2:32 pm from 51st St. & 5th Ave. and at 2:30 pm from Wall Street. Go to www.coachusa.com for details.
• Coach USA Rockland Coaches will operate regular service.
• Metro-North Hudson Line trains will operate an early getaway train to Tarrytown departing Grand Central Terminal at 3:11 pm, arriving Tarrytown at 3:47 pm. A TZx bus will meet that train. The train that normally departs GCT at 5:57 pm will not operate.
• Metro-North Port Jervis Line trains will operate regular weekday service to Rockland County.
• NJT Pascack Valley Line train departing Penn Station at 2:51 pm and Hoboken at 2:58 PM will be extended to serve Pearl River, Nanuet and Spring Valley. The train that normally departs Penn Station at 7:09 pm and Hoboken at 7:20 pm will not operate.
• NJT Main/Bergen Line Main/Bergen Line train, normally departing Penn Station to Secaucus at 5:42 pm, will depart 5 minutes earlier, at 5:38 pm.
• The Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will add an early getaway trip from Ossining to connect with an extra Hudson Line train departing from Grand Central Terminal at 3:11 pm.

Memorial Day - Monday, May 28th:

• TZx and TOR buses will operate Saturday service on TOR routes 59, 91, 92, 93, 94 and Loop 3, with no service on TOR routes 95 or 97 and regular service on Loop 1 and Loop 2. Additionally, some routes will be temporarily detoured due to Memorial Day parades in Nyack, Suffern, Pearl River and Tarrytown; go to www.rocklandbus.com for details.
• TRIPS Paratransit buses will operate A.D.A. service only.
• Coach USA’s Rockland Coaches local bus routes 9, 9W, 11-A and 20 will operate Sunday service. Commuter express routes 45, 47 and 49 will not operate.
• Coach USA Express buses from the Exit 14 Park & Ride lot will not operate.
• Saddle River Tours/AmeriBus route 11C will operate Sunday service.
• Shortline buses and Monsey Trails buses will operate Holiday service.
• Clarkstown Mini Trans, Spring Valley Jitney and the Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry will not operate.
• Metro-North’s Hudson Line and Port Jervis Line trains will operate Sunday schedules.
• NJ Transit trains will operate Weekend schedules on the Main/Bergen Line and on the Pascack Valley Line.
